THEN — Three sets of
twins, starting kindergarten
together at the John Paulding
School, had their picture taken
in 1957. They were already
closely knit by not only family
but also coincidental ties.
They are, standing left to
right, Rosalie and Mary Jane
Kunert and Michael and Janet
Kiselak; seated, left to right,
Jean and Joan Kofka. All
three sets of "K's" were delivered
by Dr. Angelo Ciocca in
the old Tarrytown Hospital in
1952. Their parents are all natives
of the Tarrytowns, and
the mothers of the Kiselak and
Kofka twins are sisters: the
former Mary and Frances
Manca, respectively. Joseph
B. Kunert was graduated from
North Tarrytown High School
in 1937, while his wife, the former
Jennie Tenaro, is, a 1942
graduate of Washington Irving
High School. Joseph Kiselak
was graduated from NTHS in
1940: his wife was a member
of the class of '43. Frank
Kofka and his wife both were
graduated from the NTHS in
1937.
